I love Super Bowl Sunday. The food, the excitement, the game, the commercials, the halftime show, everything. For the past few years, I hosted a pretty epic party (I’m quoting friends here) making a spread that could easily feed 100 versus the 30 that came over. A huge pot of my Dad’s famous chili (a combo of sausage and ground beef, plus a killer spice blend gives it that extra kick) is typically the star mixed with a series of dips, cheeses, Hors D’oeuvres kept everyone full and satisfied. But the dish I always get the most questions about is my buffalo chicken dip.
To be honest, it’s not my dip. It’s a recipe I acquired from an ex-boyfriend and is one of the better things I kept in the breakup. I know there are dozens of variations of this dip, but I just love the creaminess and ratio of cheese to chicken to spice that you get in this version. I like to serve it with chips and celery to play off the idea of what you’d serve with buffalo wings.

Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip
Recipe Adapted from All Recipes
1 (15 ounce) jar chunky-style blue cheese salad dressing (such as Marzetti®)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 cooked chicken breasts, shredded or shredded rotisserie chicken
1 (12 ounce) bottle Buffalo wings sauce (such as Frank’s® Redhot®)
1 (4 ounce) package blue cheese crumbles
1 package of shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
- Stir blue cheese salad dressing and cream cheese together in a mixing bowl
- Stir in chicken, Buffalo wings sauce, and blue cheese crumbles into the salad dressing mixture.
- Pour sauce into a baking dish
- Top with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese
- Bake in preheated oven until bubbling, 15 to 20 minutes
